The Brown Society successfully held its November 2006 conference in New Orleans at the Chateau LeMoyne Hotel, and is currently planning its 2008 conference.
Congratulations to Nancy Ruttenburg (President), Philip Barnard (Vice-President), Fritz Fleischmann (Executive Secretary/Treasurer) on being elected officers of the society, and Andy Doolen, Mark Kamrath, Chris Looby, Bryan Waterman, and Lisa West on being elected to the Executive Council of the society for calendar years 2007 and 2008.
